COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Bavarian wheat beer combines the flavors of banana, clove, bubblegum and citrus in a wonderfully refreshing summertime ale. No spices or fruits are actually used to create this beer, only barley malt, wheat malt Hallertau hops and a funky wheat beer yeast from the world's oldest brewery.

From growler. Really nice banana esters, like nutty warm banana bread. Light citrus rind, mild cloves and a nice floral hop aroma. Warm medium amber glow, cloudy with off-white lacing head. Medium to light watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with banana bread and mild lemon rind. Light carbonic acidity and mild bitter hops notes bring in a somewhat astringent chalky middle. Finish is wheaty and nutty, with lingering banana and carbonic tang. Light chalky banana after. Overall, very refreshing and a good Hefeweizen.

Had on tap at the brewery A-pours a cloudy murky deep yellow liquid with a pure white head. S-the nose is very nice, some banance, lots of clove, notes of bubblegum, more spice, pepper and clove. T-sweet up front, notes of bubblegum and banana, touch of ripe lemon, lots of sweet flavor, the spice is behind, good peppery spice to it! M-thick body, full and chewy, grainy feel but soft on the tongue, strong carbonation balancing out the big body. D-huge flavors, great balance, a little dry in the back would have been nice, but a fantastic hefe,

Excellent wheat beer, cloudy light golden color, big fluffy white head, awesome lacing around the glass, nose full of banana & clove, medium-light body, very refreshing & crisp, flavor notes included original bubblegum, clove & banana, very true to the style, balanced well, spicy finish with more banana flavors

On tap at Bullfrog. Pours a very hazy gold with a small to medium sized white head. Banana, wheat and musk. Crisp yeast and wheat. Light esters. Crisp and light with some spicy yeast. Nice stuff.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy grayish gold with a frosty medium sized white head. Aroma of light sweetened spice, banana, bubble gum, cloves and wheat. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Another fine summer brew.

Poured a cloudy, orange-gold color with a small white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, vanilla, clove and yeast. Taste of more bananas and cloves, wheat, and some tart citrus qualities as well.

Draught at the brewery. Properly cloudy yellow color, and juice-like in appearance with a white head, moderate thick lacing on the glass. Very punchy, spicy, doughy yeast scented, with pulp-like orange and lemon scents. Chewy and sweet on the tongue, juicy, a bit too much for me even, like a heavy pulp fruit juice (with respect to texture). Lacks dryness and a little sourness, but otherwise it’s tasty and well-made. Frothy up front, then a bit oily on the palate, then finishes prickly and spicy.

tap @ bullfrog - Hazy yellow pour. arouma is clove and banana and candy gum. Smooth, medium thick mouthfeel. Musty flavors and subdued hops coming at the back end, supported by citrus and funk.
