COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied stout brewed with a menagerie of specialty malts for a dry and roasty yet complex character.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4546) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color -n almost black, with a small foamy tan head that left no lacing. The aroma was dry and woody with a bit of battery acid. The flavor was dryish with light coffee, vanilla and again a bit of battery acid. Medium length finish and medium body. Disappointing.

Draft at brewpub. Pours coca-cola brown with almost no head. Not much on the nose. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. I get faint notes of roasted malt on the tongue. It just doesn’t do anything for me.

Brown and watery. More of a porter taste and mouthfeel than a stout. Not worth trying again, disappointing.

Tap. Pours a slightly hazy and cloudy brown body with a small wispy light brown head that faded to a thin film. The nose is roasty and dry with some chocolate and coffee notes, smells a bit overly yeasty though. The flavor is a little on the sweeter side with some roasted and lightly burnt maltiness, lingering coffee laced finish. I do find the heavy (especially for the style) yeastiness to be a bit of a distraction, it sort of muddles things a bit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, watery in texture, with a minimal soft fizzy carbonation level. Dries out a bit on the finish. Not bad, but not one that I’d seek out.
