Barrel aged raspberry sour ale. A combination of Oregon grown and local berries, handpicked by longtime friend Doug McMinn, bound together in perfect harmony. The palette opens big and bright, full of sweet raspberry, oaky vanilla, funky wild yeast and a refreshing snap of acidity.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of raspberry, horseblanket, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of raspberry, leather, barnyard funk and light citrus with a smooth dry lightly tart lingering fruity finish.

Bottle shared late night at RBWG Asheville from notes shared by our roommates the Columbus crew (one of the few that I havenít entered). Pours a hazy orange/reddish/brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big tart/sour raspberries, additional tart fruit, wood, vanilla, acidic, some funk, awesome that I had a chance to try this one.

Bottle: Thanks, Sean, for busing this one out. Deep, red-tinted copper, sort of murky with not much of a head, but a long-lasting, off-white collar. Aroma surprisingly has retained a huge raspberry jam presence, met in equal parts by a largely floral profile... Raspberry flowers, jammy jams, hints of fruity perfume, grass, berry skin, & a touch of wet oak. Big raspberry flavor; awesome to see it hold up after all these years. Mildly tart but not gum ripping or puckering. Soft. Hints of sweaty hay, lacto yeast, light lemon. A touch of back-end acidity that cuts the sweetness nicely. Little bit of wood in the finish, dry as expected. Not worth what youíll have to trade to get it nowadays, but a very delicious raspberry wild ale.

Bottleshare in Asheville. Massive thanks to Deyholla! Hazy amber pour with a small head. Mellow raspberry meat and Eton Mess on the nose. Jelly donut filling. The taste is also pretty chilled. Soft raspberry lime ricky. Refined sugar. Lightly tart, easy to drink. Light body, soft carbonation. Great.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Thanks for this one! I love it when generous RBians pull out the big guns. Very good beer. Great snout of juicy, jammy raspberries. Light sweet flavor with decent sour berry twang, general fruits. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Great balance to finish with further tart and lightly jammy raspberry. Solid.

Bottle shared by thebaldwizard and Puddintane- didnít realize it was shared by those shitheads, or else Iíd have rated it lower. Anyway, pours a somewhat cloudy red-orange with a tiny ring for a head. Lots of raspberry, cherry, vanilla, and oak, with some vinegar acidity, some dusty, musty funk. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation. Dry and acetic. Fairly simple, but really nice. Holding up well. Cool beer, thanks for sharing!

>> Thank you, holy cow, to JoeMuck and puddiní for this wale. Clear red orange pour with minimal layer of white foam. Nose is seedy, bright, raspberry jam, some LP Kriek like fruit skin phenols, and sharp acetic acid impending. Taste is very light, salty, soft and low sourness, no acetic acid/vinegar though, woody barrel. Soft, clean, refreshing. Straightforward, low boost, bright. I like.
