COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrel aged raspberry sour ale. A combination of Oregon grown and local berries, handpicked by longtime friend Doug McMinn, bound together in perfect harmony. The palette opens big and bright, full of sweet raspberry, oaky vanilla, funky wild yeast and a refreshing snap of acidity.

Got to sample a bottle of this last night. Colour... cloudy strawberry red with a thick head! Nose... yeasty, funky, foxy and tart. Palate... quick flash of raspberry, tartness, somewhat phenolic/band-aid like and a long tart finish!

Bottle with Jimbo. Pours a grapefruit pink murk. Thin white head, not much lacing. Aromas of oak, raspberry puree, vanilla, tart funk, earthy grains. Taste was more sour with a light framboise flavor mixed with vinegar, muscat grapes, wood, raspberry, and other delicate spices. Fruit rollup aftertase, salivating and thirst quenching sour from Bullfrog. Aww thitt.

Bottle courtesy of vin. Pours a deep, mirked out red amber body with no head. Aroma is light raspberry sour. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated with a a great funk and sour tartness upfron with raspberries, Brett, and sour fruit roll-up

Ausgewogen herb-fruchtiger Beginn mit späterer geringe Süße. Konstant säuerlich, angenehme Himbeernoten, dann bitterer. Zum Ende milder, gleichwohl gelungen säuerlich, erfrischend, sehr süffig. Gut! 11/12/11/12/12/12

Bottle. Courtesy of Jon. Pours a cloudy amber red color with a collared head. Flat raspberry aroma, rubber, and slight diesel. Light mouthfeel. Raspberry flavors give way a slight medicinal note, also has some slight vanilla with hints of oak. Tart and comlex with a nice level of sourness. Overall, I enjoyed this beer but wanted a tad more out of it. Balanced without being overly fruity.

A: Hazy raspberry pink-red body. Thin pale pink head. S: Light raspberry notes, mild funky-brett notes. Hints of oak. T: Like the nose, Bullfrog’s Frambozen is characterized by mildness. Pleasant soft raspberry acidity, brett funk, and oak. M: Smooth, moderate acidity. Refreshing light-to-medium body. Delicate tartness in the finish. O: A nice raspberry sour -- if moderation is your thing, this is your beer. I tend to like a bit more assertive acidity and funk, but this still was a nice beer.

beerchugger (708) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Pours a cloudy hazy reddish ruddy brown (a bit redundant) with a thin white head and a slight halo around the beer. A nice tart cherry aroma with raspberries tartness and some earth and brett coming through. A thin veil of sweet caramel hidden alongside of all the tart fruits. Has a lively character on the tongue with sweet and tart raspberries, barnyard funk, with a nice lip pucker. This isn’t too sour, but just enough sour. The finish is short. Nice.

I had this from the bottle at dld. This was had during an epic sour tasting and it more than held its own. The raspberries and oak come throw for a very nice combination. A lot of times one thing or another dominates, this is a perfect combination. Sweet to start, some nice acidity then a smooth oak finish. This is really good.
