COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As a lover of saisons I felt it necessary to brew its French counterpart, the Biere de Garde, full of luxurious richness with its aroma sweet to tart candy apples. The palette is full of expressive malt yet finishes dry and spicy with a note of tartness from the yeast.

750ml from Capone’s, Norristown. A very dark pour for a biere de garde, at least so it seemed (mighty gusher too). Huge chunks and tons of sediment enough for two beers. Ripe tart fruit in the nose, particularly getting hints of crabapple and so forth. Body’s a bit thin, something a bit medicinal in there too. Not bad.

Bottle shared by JCB. Nose is great. Caramel apple, big time. But the apple appears to be green and tart, as even the nose reveals it’s going to be sour. This isn’t really a good thing for the beer, though. It’s weird. And cloudy as hell. I swear the masses of funk at the bottle had the slightest green/gray tint... tadpoles?

Can’t get into this one at all. Nose is weird, flavor is the same. Plastic, vacuum cleaner, some fruity yeastiness.

( 750ml bottle, courtesy of ericandersnavy ) Pours a murky amber brown body with a medium-sized fizzy quickly diminishing off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, tea leaves, apple cider, and herbs. Flavor of yeast, apple, herbs, cinnamon, and earthiness.

25.4 oz bottle. Murky brown with a thick foamy head. Nose is apricot, strawberry, lemon and rising barnyard. Medium body with a crisp tingle. Taste is peach, citrus peel and yeast. Bitter pithy finish a touch metallic. Another curious stylistic twist from Bullfrog.

i think Beerlando shared this one, can’t remember sorry! Sour funky aroma, very Fantome-like! Pour amber with a white head. Spicy caramel malts with funky flavors, barnyard flavors, a lot of brett character. Very interesting beer!

Courtesy Beerlando. Amber, off white carbonation. Very nice graham cracker-cookie-toffee malt with plenty of spicy, aromatic, fruity, funky yeast. Mild earthy bitterness. Medium body, well carbonated, very dry, yeasty finish. Very nice American brewed bdg.

750 ml-pours a retaining thin off white head and cloudy orange/amber color. Aroma is yeast, herbal/grass, light/medium malt-hint brown sugar. Taste is yeast/barn, herbal/grass, light/medium malt-hint brown sugar/some cinnamon? Dry, good effervescence. Occasional. Thanks Boamr for sharing.

( 750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours very murky rusty orange with huge fluffy lasting head. Nose is funky and fruity. Taste is apricot, alcohol, creamy with a great sweet linger. I also find that it has a good crisp hop kick at the end.
