translucent nut brown, thin large bubbled white head. Nose is a leafy hop, very fresh, that cuts the earthy caramel overtone, bit of a pine-sol note. Flavor is more caramel, sticky wood and sugar, light heat, oxidation beginning. Lacks the pepper or yeast of a quad, plus thinner body, low carbonation, and a sweet heat leads to more barley wine characteristics.
