Commercial Description:
A big addition of caramel and munich malts give this beer its rich mahogany color along with its juicy palate. Its medium body and wonderful balance of hops from the Pacific Northwest make this a luscious and aromatic brew.
Note: Previously known as Ribbit Red Ale

Draft at Bullfrog. Poured mahogany with dark brown and some ruby edges and an off-white head. Nose was caramel malt, vinous fruit, hops. Tastes roasty malty and earthy, with mid-palate hops, and finishing vinous fruit.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear mahogany amber with a medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of caramel, tangy citrus, and malts. Taste of tangy malt and citrus with hints of bread dough, light caramel and hops.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours amber orange with a thin off white head. Sweet malty aroma with a thint of hops. The flavor has sweet toffee like malts, floral hops, and some light herbal notes. Decent.

Draft. Amber body, thin eggshell head. Sweet yet grainy caramel nose, some resinous hop. The flavor is again polar: earthy hop notes and heavy caramel, minor sweetness. Light, silky palate with a short finish. Not very memorable given how straightforward and plain it is. Must have been another brewery.

Growler. Body is clear dark brown with some frothy light brown head. The aroma is hops - almost like a pale ale. The taste is some sugar thats overrode by a hoppy bitterness.

Draft, Bullfrog Brewery. Pours a dark, reddish-brown color; off-white head with patcy lacing. Light, red fruits and caramelized sugar in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: average carbonation; red fruits, citrus hop bitterness, and some light sugar at the core; basic red ale profile; quite drinkable. Medium, sugar and dried red fruit finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours rust orange with a small ecrue head. The aroma is sweet and honeyish with some toast and caramel. The flavor is honey sweetness, some leaves and toast, and some caramel. A bit of woody hops jump out once in a while. Meh.

This beer is all looks and bad flavor. Looks promising as an amber but the flavors were all off. The hops and malts seemed to be totally in conflict.
