Commercial Description:
A big addition of caramel and munich malts give this beer its rich mahogany color along with its juicy palate. Its medium body and wonderful balance of hops from the Pacific Northwest make this a luscious and aromatic brew.
Note: Previously known as Ribbit Red Ale

I thought this was a very good beer. Nice dark red color and an even nicer flavor. mouthfeel and complexity was right on. I am becoming a big fan of Bullfrog.

On tap at the brewery. Light malt aroma with mild neutral fruit and caramel. Copper amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Dry roasted maltiness to start, light and sweet with a dry hoppy and even nutty finish. Dry nutter bitter after but not harsh.

On tap at brewpub, listed as Inspiration Red. Dark copper pour that held a decent sized creamy white head. Caramel malt dominated aroma, lighter on the floral hops, with some toffee as well. The maltiest beer that I’ve had out of the sampler today, sweet caramel and toffee with a lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied with a more acceptable level of carbonation than many of their other beers. Your basic "Red Ale", whatever that is. Not much to say about this one. Another intro beer.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a fairly bright reddish brown with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is moderate dark malts with a light floral hop presence and a malty finish. Not too bad for a Red.

Poured a reddish copper color with a small, off-white/cappucino colored head, and left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, caramel, and cherries. Nasty taste, cherries, spice, diactyl, and sweet malts. Not sure what they were going for with this one, but it didn’t work.

Fantastic beer. Used to drink it at a bar when I went to school in central PA. Fantastic taste and went down very smooth. I thought the aftertaste was good and the taste throughout didn’t go bad.
