Nice dark red color and an even nicer flavor. mouthfeel and complexity was right on. I am becoming a big fan of Bullfrog. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 30, 2009 On draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear mahogany amber with a medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of caramel, tangy citrus, and malts. Taste of tangy malt and citrus with hints of bread dough, light caramel and hops. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 6, 2005 Updated: Aug 26, 2007Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a fairly bright reddish brown with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is moderate dark malts with a light floral hop presence and a malty finish. Not too bad for a Red. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 28, 2004 A balanced malty beer, easy on the carbonation. Subtle head. I believe an attempt at a Vienna red style.Readish colour. OK, not outstanding Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Light malt aroma with mild neutral fruit and caramel. Copper amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Dry roasted maltiness to start, light and sweet with a dry hoppy and even nutty finish. Dry nutter bitter after but not harsh. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2009 Draft at Bullfrog. Poured mahogany with dark brown and some ruby edges and an off-white head. Nose was caramel malt, vinous fruit, hops. Tastes roasty malty and earthy, with mid-palate hops, and finishing vinous fruit. kramer (2406), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 20, 2006 On tap at brewpub, listed as Inspiration Red. Dark copper pour that held a decent sized creamy white head. Caramel malt dominated aroma, lighter on the floral hops, with some toffee as well. The maltiest beer that I’ve had out of the sampler today, sweet caramel and toffee with a lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied with a more acceptable level of carbonation than many of their other beers. Your basic "Red Ale", whatever that is. Not much to say about this one. Another intro beer.
