This barrel aged version of our Saison Noire, infused with Belgian Callebaut chocolate and vanilla beans, breathes an exquisite aroma of chocolate. The palette burts with rich chocolate and oaky vanilla but still finishes dry and elegant.

Opaque ruby-copper pour. The aroma is vinous and oaky with some lactobacillus sourness. Theres also notes of vanilla, faint caramel and the cocoa is pretty subtle too. The flavor is sweet, toasty oak, with a nice sourness balanced by soft balanced vanilla, cocoa, and caramel. The body is dry, medium full with moderate carbonation.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Sean9689. Lightly hazy deep amber with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Tart chili-like nose. Medium body, again these lightly tart chili accents while the cocoa only leaves a discreet imprint. Dry and lightly tart and spicy finish. Interesting and curious rather than great. 231109
