COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
WINTER SAISON WITH BRETT This beast of a saison has a rich cocoa hue and a wonderfully complex nose and palette, dry yet decadent. This, as well as all of my saisons, is brewed with a blend of Dupont and Brettanomyces Claussenii yeasts then aged for at least 3 months to develope its earthy, funk-a-luscious flavor. Cheers!

Draft at the brewpub. Very interesting, deserves points for uniqueness. The strongest saison I have ever had. Sweet fruit flavor with some yeast. Light bitterness and some alcohol in the finish. Definitely a slow sipper, but great with food.

5oz sample from a flight. Pour is iced tea with a finger of beige head. Nose is mint, light berry, malt, and a bit of funk. Taste is sour caramel, tart berries, and earthy funk. There is also a dominant warming in the chest as this beast settles down into the depths. I am not sure how many beers I’ve had with brettanomyces, so I don’t know if these characteristics are normal, but this was a quite a strange brew. I did enjoy it though, but probably couldn’t drink more than a glass at a session.
