Tap. Pours a flat black body with a small creamy nitro light brown head. The nose is pretty great. The coffee and roast jump out right away, but with a little more digging the sweetness from the oats and a soft Belgian yeastiness come out. The flavor is much the same. Amazing coffee flavor, rich and bold without being acrid or astringent. The Belgian character comes out great on the finish giving it a nice softness and mixing really well with the sweetness from the oats. Mouthfeel is really velvety and smooth with zero astringency or overly burnt character. Really great coffee beer, but then again, I’m a total sucker for coffee in beer.
