Pours light brown with a thin head. Mouthfeel is kind of thin. It doesn’t look like a powerhouse but it is. Massive roasted coffee on the nose. Not used to that kind of aroma on a saison but it works somehow. The coffee on the tongue blends with the spicy and dry notes of the saison. Finish is clean. Fantastic!

Alright, coffee saison. It really works, light saison strain. Good coffee roasted flavors. Bitter long finish with some coffee

On tap at Capones, pours a very deep and murky cranberry color. Aroma is filled with so much coffee its hard to pick up anything else. Maybe some clove, dark cherry or other spices in there as well as a little yeasty sour saison aroma. Taste is if you took a pretzel and soaked it in colombian blend coffee, sour cherries, wood, cinnamon. Finishes gentle and tasty. Weirdest saison I have had to date but a pretty good one.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of roast, coffee grounds, burnt leaves, and spices. Tastes or roast, coffee, and spices. I like coffee beers and added to a Saison was interesting.

On tap at Capones. Pours a light brown color with a powerful coffee aroma. Belgian yeast spicy flavor with a pervasive coffee flavor. Strange but genius combination. Really liked this one!

Draft at the Brewpub with Andrew, Brendan and big boy PJ. Pours a hazy amber red body with no head. Aroma is coffee and wheat. Mouthfeel is thin to medium with notes of delicious rich coffee combined with classic saison notes - wheat, citrus, funk, and yeast. Well executed brew combining two styles.

Draft. Brown pour with tan head. Roasted coffee dominated aromas with some lighter vanilla and yeast like tones. Flavor also is roasted malt, coffee forward, hints of sweet malt, vanilla, and yeasts. Saison?

Pint at the brewpub. Hot summer afternoon on the way back to NY and this was delicious! Taste of coffee in a murky light brown saison. Little touch of vanilla.

On tap at the brewery as party of beerquest 2.5. Vivid dark coffee flavor upfront and sour yeast funk.

Growler. Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a nice fluffy off-white head. The nose is quite interesting, a good bit of light-roast coffee over a slightly funky farmhouse Saison yeastiness. The flavor is really well balanced between the coffee character and the underlying Saison qualities. More coffee up front, but the funky Saison takes over towards the finish. Not sure it’s a combo that I would have ever thought up, but it kinda works in a weird way. Light bodied and soft with nice gentle carbonation. An interesting beer to say the least. Makes me think it’s a beer Fantome would have thought up.
