COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Irish Dry Stout, rich and roasty with an almost coffee-like, dry finish. This beer is also nitrogenated for that impeccably creamy head.

On tap at the brewpub 6/8/08: Pours an opaque black with a spotty-lacing creamy dark tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with some roasty notes. Body starts with about average fullness for the style and a nice dark malty sweetness with a touch of molasses. Finishes smooth and sweet with a touch of roasty coffee. A nice stout.

On tap. Dark brown, lasting cream head. Roast grain and cocoa in the nose, slight cookie dough. More roast in the flavor, a little more bitter, more chocolate and minor earthy hop, very minor. Thin body with some roast and licorice tailing.

On draft at the brewpub. Looks like Guinness. Pours a black colour with creamy beige head. Head coats the glass and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. Flavour is light like the aroma with a bit of coffee like flavoring thrown in. Watery.

Dark and thin body. Aroma is a bit weak also with some heavy bitter roast. Taste is dark cocoa and bitter coffee and still thin. I expected more from BF.

Draft at BF Brewpub. Pours a dark dark brown, practically black body. Small brown head. The aroma is very light - slight roastiness. Good lacing noticeable on the side of the glass. The palate is a bit watery, not as much flavor as I would’ve preferred.

Tap at brewpub. Pours a deep dark ruby amber-brown almost black with a nice lasting shiny orange head. Nutty and toasty aroma with hints of dark chocolate coffee, and a slight earthy kick. Coffee and chocolate flavor with and earthy spicy kick- a bit grassy and green with hops although not overpowering. Pretty smooth- solid stout.

Sample at brewery Smokey aroma with a chocolate colored head. Bit smokey with malt and milk chocolate flavor. Light roast coffee mixed in the aftertaste. Creamy and smooth in the mouth. Enjoyable stout.

Nitro. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Flavor of coffee and creamy milk chocolate. Dulled down from the nitro, but still tasty.
