UPDATED: AUG 6, 2010 Big thanks to Frank (Avalon68), Jeremy and Kevin (MrChopin) for the crazy beers we had during this tasting including this one! A-dark ruby red that is crystal clear, tan to light brown head with a little lace left behind. S-the nose is huge and brings tons of cherry with lots of acetone behind giving it a rubbing alcohol aroma. the cherries go throughout with a touch of raisin in the back. T-the taste has a nice sweetness to it up front with notes of tart acidity in the back. cherries are quite prevalant, plums behind, notes of red wine. the finish has a good bit of acidity to it with underlying notes of ak and vanilla. M-so smooth on the palate, huge carbonation to balance a syrupy texture on the palate, good crisp finish, somewhat dry. D-this is extremely tasty and well balanced. good sweetness with nice levels of sour acidity. the oak blending is done very well to add a great element to the beer.

Bottle shared at Tower of Sour Power, I think this was DarkGuardian again. Bullfrog doesn’t make a bad beer. Sort of a cocky statement but everything I’ve had from them is just superb. Good sour aroma and flavor with a nice balance of fruit and sour tartness.
