On tap at the brewery. This is a cask conditioned scotch ale. Molasses sweet tang, malty with light fruity hops. Apple skins. Medium amber brown clear with foamy off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet. Molasses sweet tang with fruity esters and light yeast. Red licorice and some soy/balsamic sweetness. Alcohol notes. Rich and heavy, a beer to be reckoned with.

May 6, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Red with a little white head. Fresh, with a decent though malty and barley aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, with a definite sourness on the tongue.
