Well well well. Wellity Wellity Wellity. If it isn’t my old friend, Bulmers. When in Ireland this is the ideal compliment to a full on bender on the Guinness. Has to be tasted to be believed. You must order this drink in the following fashion. ’I’ll have a Bulmers please’ ’Wid oice?’ ’Yeah, wid oice please’. Dynamite.

Can there be a better way of spending a summer’s afternoon than watching cricket at the Mardyke while ’wolfing down the Bulmers’ ? Well, if there is, then I haven’t been told about it. A veritable glass of liquid gold.

How could you not give this cider top marks.... 17 different apples and been making cider for 75 years (lot longer than most other ciders) med/dry cider with a nice balance of sweetness. if you actully look at the process its as good/if not better than most other ciders.

Great on ice. Had it on tap at The Empress Ale House in Edmonton. Crisp flavour, taste like real apples compared too other ciders. The color is deep orange. Very refreshing.

Sweeter then Strongbow, 125 calories for 11.2 floz (why is that on my beer / cider?!). Light and fluffy, brings your taste buds back to reality.

For me this is the ultimate cider. I’ve always loved ciders in concept but felt overwhelmed by their sugar. I tried Magners on a whim at the Field in San Diego. I was blown away. It has a rich earthy body, firm but lighter apple flavor, and a great finish. There was no candy after-taste but rather a mellowing of the earthy richness that left me craving another swallow. The body makes me place Magners somewhere between a cider and beer. The problem is that it keeps selling out at my Bevmo so I can only get one or two at a time.
