Mildly farmy red apple aroma is quite sweet. Clear deep golden body is quite fizzy. Mild farmy undertone to the faint sweet apple flavour. Artificial almost chemical note appears in the aftertaste. Very light body with fairly lively carbonation. Bottle.

Bottle. Golden cider with a lightly dry and fruity aroma. The flavour is sparkling and sweet. Overall a nice and refreshing cider.

568ml bottle from Tesco. They gave me a half price coupon with my Clubcard, so I had to buy it didn’t I? Clear orange gold with no head. Odd tangerine aroma. Rose petal/orange. Carbonated. Just bizarre. No real apple flavour at all. Metallic, over carbonated, rose/orange zest finish. Drinkable but bizarre. Not overly sweet. Bit like drinking diet lilt.

The same curious pinkish-golden colour of its rival Magners. Very little aroma. Would you know this was supposed to be a cider? Not really. It isn’t sweet like Magners. It has no sourness or bitterness. It tastes like a diluted fizzy soft drink. Very easy drinking for the crowd who enjoy Sirrus and Magners.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 ALLOVATE (1708) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - AUG 9, 2005
Hope I have the right cider here. Tasted on draught at the Moon & Sixpence just before they replaced it with an Australian Bulmer cider ’Strongbow’. Poured gold, quite clear, with a quickly dissipating gas charged head. Couldn’t pick up much aroma as the Community shield game was just about to start and the place was packed. Cordial-like sweet apple-juice flavour in the mouth with a light hint of malt?. Quite astringent in the back, made all the more unpleasant by a carbonic acid bite that persisted for the length. Became quite lactic and gummy half-way down and as it began to warm, and was considerably filling in the stomach. Unusually, it seemed better towards the end or maybe it was me tiring under the weight. Average, one-dimensional cider.

Keg at The White Lion, Banbury. Pale gold with no head. For want of something to drink, sweetish chemical flavour with juicy skinny flavour. Only average.

Cloudy golden color, small particles floating around. Aroma of sour apple. Thick almost creamy, but not sticky. (tnx caesar for notes)

Gravity Dispense Six Bells BF Farnham. Orange/Green colour - taste seems very sweet (not sure that medium is a good description). Aroma is also sweet. This is like drinking apple juice with some alcohol and lots of extra sugar. Pretty poor attempt at a real cider by a company more used to fizzy dead stuff
