Die Schaumkrone hält nicht. Es ist süß-apfelig, nichts überraschendes, die geschmacksintensivität ist mittelmäßig. Fazit: Ok

Golden coloured and clear. Has a white head. Looks good. But then, hardly no aroma and only some faint sweet flavor. Perhaps I should try putting some inc in it to give it some aroma and flavor...

[Bottle at the Corn Stores, Reading] Hmmm, nice sunny day? Think I’ll try a cider, how about some of this fancy new Bulmers-pour-it-over-ice stuff that all the kids seem to be drinking these days. Oh dear - it pours flat, limp, lifeless; it looks like econony apple juice (ie like the urine sample of someone who’s been lost in the desert for 3 days). Smells like economy apple juice. Tastes like it too - doesn’t seem to be alcoholic in the slightest, in fact it’s rather watery. Oh, hang about - now there’s rotten apples coming through, maybe it’s made with the apples that even the economy apple juice makers turned down. Overly sweet and syrupy. Aftertaste has hints of vomit and medicine. This is pretty grim stuff, perhaps I didn’t have enough ice to mask the flavour. Oddly, I got an alcohol hit about an hour after I finished drinking it. c5
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 blankboy (4287) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2009
Bottle (568ml). Pours a clear bubbly gold with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma’s just O.K., at best, there’s something slightly off-putting about it: Mild, slightly tart apple juice, some sugary sweetness, straw and dry white wine all mixed in a not-so-appealing way. Flavour’s a bit better: Slightly sweet, ripe apples along with some wood and mild, dry white wine qualities. Light bodied, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Well carbonated. Would be O.K. on a hot summer day, if there weren’t better options available.

Bottle at Fitzers Restaurant, Temple Bar, Dublin. Clear gold, with defined bubble trails. Beautiful flavour, being light and sweet, with a pleasantly smooth aftertaste. A very nice cider.

Aroma of newly picked apples, golden amber, pours a small off-white head. Taste is ripe apple, also a touch of apple sauce, light bodied, slightly sweet, refreshing, good.

Bottle. Has a slight pink colour to it? I found this to be a bit drier and less carbonated than the australian cider’s i’ve tried which i like better. if i was in a pub full of mega swill lager’s or this, i’d drink this.
