I was looking forward to drinking this but I can’t say it’s anything special. It’s certainly not unpleasant, the sweet/synthetic pear does grow on you, however, I find it far too weak to draw any further conclusions on taste. As for the fizziness, completely unnecessary, I believe the finer perry’s were carbonated as an art form, with this drink it makes it feel cheap.

Sampled in Ireland. Very similar to the original - as well as Magners, except the Pear flavor comes off as much lighter overall.

Bottle from Thai supermarket. Pale yellow body, no head. Sweet, artificial pear notes in the aroma, slightly more rounded pear in the flavor. Spoiled by some metallic/stale hints in the aftertaste. A bit too sweet. All in all: pretty lousy.
