My 200th rating - wasted on cider. To make it worse, an insipid cider with no flavour. Only positives are that it is wet and has alcohol in it.

Almost like sweet water with a drop of pear. Golden coloured and clear. Has a white head, fully diminishing. Sweet aroma, faint notes of fruit, perhaps pear. Sweet flavor too. No acid. Light syrupy texture and lively carbonation.

I was looking forward to drinking this but I can’t say it’s anything special. It’s certainly not unpleasant, the sweet/synthetic pear does grow on you, however, I find it far too weak to draw any further conclusions on taste. As for the fizziness, completely unnecessary, I believe the finer perry’s were carbonated as an art form, with this drink it makes it feel cheap.

Sampled in Ireland. Very similar to the original - as well as Magners, except the Pear flavor comes off as much lighter overall.
