Our BULWARK ‘Original’ is a hand crafted Cider that tastes like a traditional English Cider. It is dry, crisp, and refreshing. Our Cider is all natural and made with 100% fresh-pressed apples from the famed Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. Settlers first started growing cider apple varieties in this Valley in the early 1600’s with many of those varieties being exported to England during the 19th century. BULWARK ‘Original’s unique character and flavours are meant as a tribute to those 400 years of apple growing tradition in the Valley.

Rating #1160 - 07.07.2014 - Craft Cider at Seminar at Coop MacTaggart. Clear, pale, faintly yellow colour, fairly carbonated, bubbly foam dissipates rapidly. Aroma is fresh cut apples. Palate is more of the same. light sweet notes, balanced by the dryness provided by the ripened fruit and alcohol . Not boozy in the slightest though, very drinkable. Crisp, balanced, delicious.

Clear golden yellow colour with a very very thin head that dissipates almost immediately. Aroma is lightly apple and not much else.taste is strong apple, sweet at first and then trending to sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Rockbottom. It pours clear pale gold with a tiny bubbly white head m the nose is soft, juicy, sweet apple pie, candied pear and spice. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, juicy, cloudy apple juice, pear skin, apple pie, light spice, straw and a touch of acidity. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good balance and clean, crisp drinkability. Good.

Fresh, bright apple aroma, tart apple skins and fresh cut apple flesh. Crisp, clean mouth feel, very high carb. The finish is tart and clear and incredibly refreshing, a cider for unsweetened dry cider fans.

Tasting at Matt’s
Pale color. Nice aroma of apples, flowery, a bit citrusy, light vanilla. Dry mouthfeel, quite lemony, also flowery, with light apple flavor.
Refreshing, nice.

500mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite floral, with low-to-medium sweetness, apple skins, and floral notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium sweetness and crisp apple skins. Simple but quite clean. Average carbonation. Well-made, but nothing special.

Clear light hay colour. Persistent bubbles. Aroma is bruised apples and pool water. Flavour is sweet apples upfront, tart near the finish. Dry and crisp. But the finish tastes like chemicals to me. Chlorine. I’m not the best judge of cider but this was terrible.
