Clear brown beer with a tidy cream coloured head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Light malt reasonably well balanced with bittering hops. However the hops just impart bitterness and not much else. Slight metallic note in the finish.

Bottle. Smells of malt and a hint of twiglets. Chestnut brown colour. Malty basic best bitter.

Weak aroma of wood. Mild flavour of dark hops, malt and wood. Darkish hoppy bitterness in aftertaste. American hops well subdued...

Bottle that I got from Tesco, consumed at Shrewsbury Folk Festival 27.08.10 Pours mid brown, this a very average bitter, with few redeeming features, fruity, medium sweetness not that hoppy, in fact it’s just fairly boring. A6 A3 T5 P3 Ov11 2.8

Bottled. Thin head and rather sour bitter flavour which overpowered everything else. I really wanted to like this beer but sadly...

Bottle. Amber coloured body with a good sized off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine foam - never completely disappearing - leaving a scattered lacing. Sweet and fruity malt-based aromas with an occasional metallic undertone. Spicy hop bitterness asserts itself after a fairly straightforward initial malty flavour. The lasting dry bitterness in the finish gradually gives way to a nutty, roasted malt aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium body, pleasant beer.

50cl bottle from Tesco Stevenage. Amber with a fast fading off-white head; malty aroma; straightforward roasted malt flavour; good assertive bitterness; slightly peppery finish.

Pours chestnut amber with good head. Good lacing. rAroma is malty with some hops. Taste is medium fruity, with noticeable medium roast malts and medium hops. Medium body. Good beer. B+
