Cask. A hazy brown beer with no head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt combined with alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt.

Clear dark brown color with a small to average, fizzy to frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, oyster stout alike, black berries notes, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, black berries acidic notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat. [20100120]

Cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Dark damson black in colour with a loose tan head; aroma of smoke and black treacle; sweet purple fruit flavours with damson and blackberry; leading to a dry finish. Excellent.
