Cask conditioned gravity dispense Elysian Winter Beer Festival 2013 12/01/13. A black beer with a tan coloured head. Roasty and hoppy in the nose with burnt bits and hints of fish oil. Hoppy in the mouth for sure with bitter and roasty flavours. Smoky elements. Lots of nice things going on and hoppy for sure but I wouldn’t describe this as BIPA personally.

Mortlach (715) - Rome, ITALY - DEC 4, 2011

03/12/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Nera, aspetto liquoroso, quasi impenetrabile, riflessi color caffè, schiuma perlacea biancastra, abbastanza persistente. Aroma intenso di malti tostati, quindi si fa strada il luppolo, con note agrumate e resinose. In bocca ha un attacco deciso con malti tostati, caffettoso, quindi un finale luppolato, agrumato, persistente. Impressionante. Corpo medio, bilanciata in maniera magistrale. Unica pecca, sa un po’ di detersivo e alla lunga stufa un po’.
