Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2014)
Grapefruity bitterness, like chewing on the seeds, but it is a fruity aroma. Watery palate. Harsh minerally chalky finish. Too harshly bitter.

Cask@ Gallows Bird, Espoo. Clear golden, thin white head. Light citrusy aroma, weak aroma overall. Flavor has citrus, rhubarb, hops. Super dry. Thin body. Not bad, but feels over hopped for the abv, now if thats possible.

Aroma is a bit musty with some fruity hops and hints of grain. Also pineapples. Flavour is hoppy with woody tones, some minerals and fruits. Finishes with lingering hops. Also hints of caramel. Nice and hoppy; a positive surprise.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’13. Pale gold with white head. Thinnish body with a grainy, light malt followed by a really pleasant lemony hop note, drying, lightly bitter and fresh. Lengthy on the palate. Pleasant.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at The Coach House, Potton. Appearance: slightly hazy golden yellow, thick bright white head. Aroma: yes! Hops, I’ve been craving hops these past 3 days in Potton and now there’s some, lemon rind, hint of mango as orange peel, wheaty too. Flavour: bitter hops with a lovely lemon peel flavour, lovely citrus notes, a hint of wheat and yeast but with a fantastic hoppy finish. Lovely.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 18 July 2011) Pale yellow colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, lemon peel and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, lemon and generous doses of grassy, citric hops in a dry finish. Light malt character, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
