Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Deep copper with a fine beige collar. Pungent, malt-driven aroma with hazelnut and cask wood. Deep husky malts interleaved with chocolate and hazelnut milkiness, chew of dark fruits, Marmite dabs. Really enjoyed it.

Cask conditioned handpump Coach & Horses Wellingborough. An amber coloured beer with a loose whitish head. Hoppy as expected from Buntingford although the aroma is not the nicest. There is actually a hint of vomit. Chewy in the mouth with plenty of grapefruit. Maybe it wasn’t at its freshest hence the aroma but who knows?

Cask, handpump at The Cambridge Blue 27-03-10 Pours mid brown with an off-white head. This is another beer that looks in spankingly good nick and in fact is. Some light caramel and citrus are first to who, good depth to this, it not complicated beer but its bloody good, most enjoyable. A6 A5 F8 P4 Ov14 3.7
