On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Brown colour, off white head. Aroma is spicy, chocolate, cocoa, sweet dark fruits. Flavour is also spicy, chocolate, malty, light bitter spicy finish. Light to medium bodied, a bit thin mouthfeel, but tasty enough.

Cloudy amber, brown colored brew. Malty aroma, sweet. Sweet flavor, brown sugar, caramel, some fruits.

Bottled, 300ml, from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Reddy brown with short white head. Largely a malty beer, medium sweetness, some candy sugar some fruitiness, plummy, soft, a touch of roastiness. It never really lets go of being average.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, nuts, yeast, and smokey. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Nutty, caramellish nose, with some brown sugar and a whiff of yeast. Medium body, some dark dried fruit and again brown sugars. A twist of sweet licorice too. Hardly any hops. Pleasant. 040511

30 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, fruity and phenolic. Toasted malt, caramel, breadish and slight yeasty fruity and phenolic flavoured. Slight bitter and phenolic into a medium dry finish. Lasting dark malt/breadish flavoured.

Neutral beer. Some metallics. Little sourness makes it pleasant. Nice glass at the groningen bierfestival.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Hazy amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some wood, mild notes of banana and raisins. Flavour is raisins, wheat, some slight toffee as well as mild alcohol.

Clear medium red amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, berry, metalic, light brown sugar, moderate yeasty, overriped red fruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, candy fruity sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20101221]

Pours a dark rusty brown beer, cloudy with some chunks. A sweet aroma with dried fruits, banana and caramel. Not surprising with a beer of this age. Medium body, somewhat watery texture. Tastes a little sweet and fruity at first, then caramel and roasted malts kick in to compensate. Aftertaste is a little sour with caramel and mocha, almost coffee but not as bitter. And is that some hops we can still taste? Well, this beer gets way better credits than it deserves, because of the age. So keep this in mind.
