Das Aemme: Alle Kraft aus dem Emmental. Wer ein Aemme bestellt, weil er es nicht kennt, sich unter seinem Namen aber etwas Leichtes und Klares vorstellt, mag überrascht sein: Das Bier ist von einer dunklen, bernsteinen Farbe. Die optisch so vermittelte Kraft bestätigt sich denn auch beim ersten Schluck: Das Aemme ist stark, fast schon ein wenig rustikal. Die ordentliche aromatische Malznote rührt von handverlesenen Caramelmalzen her. Wie die Emme, die schon Gotthelf als gegensätzlich beschrieben hat, kennt aber auch das Bier eine andere Seite: Seine Bittere ist zurückhaltend, seine malzige Süsse leicht, sein Antrunk weich. Dieser spannende Gegensatz ist es dann auch, der dem Aemme so viele Freunde beschert hat, dass wir es – obwohl klassisches Winterbier – auch im Sommer anbieten. Bottle thnx to the brewer Pours clear amber, small white head Smells a lot like a special belge . Taste is Buttery , bitter, amber grains, bread . Very nice, balanced, grainy aftertaste that I just love . Second beer by them, second one to pass my expectations completely ! Very nice work !

Clear deep amber color, small off-white head. Overriped raisins in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, paper and pear/raisins in the flavor. Doesn’t feel so fresh. So and so.

50 cl bottle – Pours amber reddish, small head, pretty sweet in the nose, medium bodied, little bit of roast, mainly malty sweetness in the mouth. Very enjoyable!

(bottle) pours a clear amber-ruby colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of strawberries, light physalis, caramel, bread crusts and lightly roasted malt. flavour is mostly bread dough, grain, light cherries and butter, quite mellow, with a hint of tobacco and a minerally finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Reddish amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is bready, caramelly, floral and herbal with some mild resiny notes. Flavour is fruity, grainy, herbal, mild caramel and some slight toffeeish notes.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy nut brown, small head. Lightly roasty, somewhat fruity with notes of berries. Medium with careful, almost shy personality. Some pear and nuttiness, fairly low bitterness. Well made.
