COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light reduced calorie American-style lager brewed to be extra smooth and refreshing. Fully Krausened (naturally carbonated). Can from shigadeyo. Poured clear pale color with a minimal frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Certainly a fine alternative to Bud Light or Miller Lite. Clean, refreshing, and easy to drink. This one even has flavor! All in all, a perfect beverage for mass consumption. Remember, consumption = festivity. Burger Light is a rare opportunity to combine mass consumption with non-disgusting flavor. In terms of this style (which is depauperate and wanting), Burger Light is a cut above.

6/28/2009: Bürger Light is lighter, softer, smoother, and slightly sweeter than the regular Bürger Classic. I actually like it better too.

12 fl. oz. can from 12-pack purchased at Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. Rating #21 for this beer.

12 oz. can shared by shigadeyo. This is one of those beers I had to try when it was re-released. Pours a clear light golden color with a small white head. The aroma is grainy malts and light citrus. The flavor is bready/grainy malts and light citrus, watery. This is the kind of beer for people that just like to drink but not the negatives of being drunk. It is better than the Burger Classic.

Haha, I got this for 4 dollars a case. no reason not to buy one. Pretty gross, but it kept me buzzed. Tastes kinda skunky, kinda fizzy. Carbonation tickles my tongue a bit. cant beat that price!

can. Pale gold crystal clear body. More yellow than gold really. Descent white head that actually left some lace. Not much on the aroma except pale malt. Not much corn though, which shines thorugh in many pale lagers. Flavor is very inoffensive and poundable. Could drink this like water. There is also a descent hop presence in there. Best body of any pale lager I have had yet to date -- i.e. not super overly carbonated. Very light smooth body with medium low carbonation. Overall: very sessionable easy drinker. Not much character, but better than most lights.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2003 Okay, this is nowhere near as good as Burger Classic, but it really isn't an unpleasant beer. However, since it is American Light style, I'd more aptly term it "beer flavored soda water".

Re-realeased through Hudepohl-Schoenling. Pours extremely light yellow color with a big white head. Sweet malt aroma, not a whole lot else. Really nothing special, a blind tasting may be in store.

I am not a light beer drinker, and this stuff is a little low on the ’buzz factor’ (only 3.6% alcohol), but I have to say, this has a lot of flavor for a light beer. And only $6.49 for a case of 24? Beats Miller Lite/Bud Light.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2003 I am rating this in terms of style and thus in comparison with other american lights, not in comparison with stronger, more flavorful beers. This being so, I find Burger Light to be an exceptional brew. Crisp clean palate, smooth refreshing flavor, great head (which is always nice), and without the sticky aftertaste that you might find in bud, busch and miller products. Only rated in the mid 20th percentile, but if you look at the rates for this style, it ranks as number one (i.e. the best American Light). It is certainly worthy of this distintion. Five dollars a 12pack makes it all the more loveable.
