3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4718) - The Sunshine State, USA - DEC 10, 2007
Bottle thanks to Joss. Pours a hazy ripe papaya color. Smells a little macrobrew-like but not bad. Tastes full of grain character and hop. Clean, nice, and bitter with a dry finish. Balanced. Decently chewy, soft, and bursty mouthfeel.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2007
(500ml bottle) Thanks Joss for sharing. Pours a thin, white head with a cloudy orange body. Nose is fairly skunky. Very sewer flavour with a tart off-orange finish. Not to my liking.

Hazy golden-amber colour. Fresh complex malt aroma with leafy hops. Toasty body with light leafy hop accents and some breadcrustiness. Decent.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Slayer85 (872) - Firenze, ITALY - AUG 11, 2007
Bottled. A lightly hazy red beer with a big but fast disappearing white head. The aroma is malty with caramel notes. the flavour has again notes of caramel, malt and a light toastness. Some hops in an aftertaste that has a light bitterness. Nearly as good as their helles, that means that is a very drinkable beer.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 22, 2006
(bottle, with thanks to Jonas!) Cloudy, orange-amber colour with a short frothy off-white head. Sweet, toasty malt aroma with ester-fruity notes, shades of caramel and spicy, nettle-like hop-elements. Toast-malty, yeast-fruity taste, caramel, almost fizzy on the palate, light to medium bodied; medium-dry, malty, slightly bitter finish. Quite palatable.

Bottle: Hazy, amber coloured, medium-sized, quite firm off-white head; slightly fruity and dark sweet-malty to caramelly nose; mild sweetish flavour, fizzy mouthfeel; sweetish-caramelly finish with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. O.K. (by kind permission of joss...)

Bottle. Not as good as the hell, but still quite nice. Touches of caramel and brown sugar, with a nice lightly bitter herbaceous, grassy hop finish. Not too bad at all.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Otje (676) - Veendam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2005
Bottle at LCRBM. i get the same musky/juniperberries in the nose as their helles beer, but also malty(bit chocola and roast), spicy and a little fruity(citrus). tastes fresh, sourrish, malty, a little bitter and bready. finishes more bitter. not bad, but i liked the helles more.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (6727) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2005
Yellow-brown, enormous head, receding fast; barnsteen-red beer, the yeast again nearly totally clinging to the bottom, making it un-clear at worst, well carbonated. Roasted malts, dark brown bread aroma’s, earthy & leafy aroma’s, even meaty, as chestnuts fallen on the autumn muddy ground. Earthy flavours, with a serious dash of hops, caramel and again brown bread. Liquorice flavour too, but without a trace of sweetness; chicory-like bitterness all the more. Wry & dry MF, nearly adstringent, medium bodied at best. I like this Dunkel better than their Helles, which means: thanks to joss for letting me be the third to rate this. !
