2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GT2 (3953) - USA - NOV 17, 2010
330mL. Very cool artwork. Pours a clear deep yellow with a thinning, fizzy, suddy head. Citrus hop nose, very nice, with some buttered biscuit, dough. Taste is full citrus bitterness, dry, moving to carboardy, newspaper.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Muggus69 (878) - Newcastle, NSW, AUSTRALIA - MAR 31, 2012
330mL bottle
Burnt gold body, good clarity, holds a small but tight white head.
Nice fragrant hop aroma; citrus rind, cedar/pine, unripe stonefruits and tropicals. Underlying malt character of biscuit and light caramels supports well.
Medium body and carbonation, bit of malt chewiness and good persistance.
Biscuity, lightly toasted nutty malts upfront on the body. Hops come in not too agressively with citrus and tropical fruits, quite spicy. Finishes with a firm but balanced bitterness, very clean overall.
Damn fine APA. Not overdone, good supporting malt, would definately go back for more!

When you see that bottle with 70’s style all over it you just have to try it, even though your expectations are low. But I was pleasantly surprised, it’s not a bad effort from the Burleigh boys. Aroma of hops, resin, citrus with a nice bitter finish.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Cummins (6) - North Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 22, 2012 does not count
Pours burnt honey colour, fizzy head quickly dissipated, medium dry bitterness with some cloying, quite dominating. Lack of hop flavour, all bitterness. Lack of malt presence.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 ALLOVATE (1708) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - JAN 1, 2012
Comes across as Aussie macro in appearance. Bright medium amber with soda-pop bubbles raising a flaccid, soapy white mess. Supple, tart, underripe fruit nose, vinous and citrus fruit with hints of peach and honeydew, grapefruit and blood orange, very clean, very nice. Assertive, dry, bitter, weedy hop back dominates the palate with hints of lemon and lime peel. Creamy, frothy mouthfeel, very light in body with a short finish. Soft, doughy malt mid-palate with not much backbone. Arguably easy to drink, but lacks substance to make it any more than a thirst quencher. The nose has promise though! Bottle - Pours a light tangerine with a nice white head. Floral hop aroma with a hint of apricot and caramel. up front there is a very short hint of cereal and hop, but there is a slightly metallic sharpness. The finish is lingering and dry.

Great artwork, other than thank a fairly lacklustre pale ale. Pours a clear light copper colour, modest nose of citrus and toffees. Very lightly hopped, thin palate of citrus with very little else. Disappointing

Clear honey coloured body with poor head. Sweet fruity nose that transfer somewhat into the taste, not very lively, drank ok but that is all.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2011 0.33l, amber copper, clear with some head, and lace. great aroma of hops, resin, citrus and passionfruit, peach, and bitterness (lots of bitterness). Very bitter, obviously, not much mouthfeel, or lasting finish. could be a bit stronger, and a little more sweet perhaps. [Rerated : Maybe a little watery].

Bottle 330ml. Ugly, but good APA. Aromas of citrus, straw, and flowers. Taste is sweet, with bitterness taking over at the end. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Dark yellow, the head doesn’t last.
