A couple of centuries back, IPA was made strong and hoppy to protect it on those long voyages from England to India. These days, we just make it that way because it tastes great.
An intensive five-stage hopping process delivers a rich, robust character, smooth flavour and an inviting aroma. So, while it has all the mighty ‘BAM’ of the original, it’s surprisingly well balanced – a bit like our skateboarding elephant.
Five malted barley varieties, five natural hop varieties, fruity ale yeast and water.

Quite a solid American style IPA, although there is something fruity in there - maybe an english yeast. Not bad but maybe more in the pale ale category for hoppiness. But a very well crafted beer. Enjoying this brewery’s offerings.

I want to like this more, if just for the name. And it is a good drop, but just not as balanced / smooth as some other IPA’s out there.

(Bottle) Clear golden amber with small off-white head. Lovely aroma - grapefruit with hints of peach and biscuits. Medium body with plentiful carbonation. Great taste, dominated by hop flavours, but not aggressively bitter. There’s sweetness and citrus in nice balance at the start, both mellow and give way to some biscuity malt and a nice crisp bitterness that carries into a good finish. Very pleasant IPA with plenty of hop flavour but not overly bitter.

Good Aussie stuff. I haven’t had one for a while. Nice and pungent, with citrus and grassy notes, of course very bitter grapefruits on the aroma and flavour, but also some old stile IPA stone fruitiness. Lovely and resinous on the palate. They should have those on the airline lounges, not Cascade!

Looks good. Good strong flavor but balanced. Bit of gas, minimal head but texture was nice. Delicious you’d have a few and be happy

Surprised on the upside in a big way. Very flavour packed and almost powerfully sweet, quite impressive for a 7% beer. Yep a bit slutty but stacks of fun.

bottle from plonk. Pours amber with thin head. good hop aroma. slightly sweet up front for an ipa, in a way I like, with moderately bitter finish and alcohol on the finish. Lots of hop flavour. A nice IPA.

Bottle bought in Brisbane, August 2014. Clear light amber with a medium head. Aroma and taste of hops, grapefruit, caramel and some alcohol. Fairly refreshing.

Poured to glass from 330ml bottle. Ar: Fruity, bit piney and rasins. Nice / Ap: Orange and cloudy, minimal head or lacing / T: Sweet followed by good bitterness, just a tiny bit of salt lingering / P: Pretty light and thin, softly carbonated almost flat, loooonnnngggg bitter finish / O: Sadly i expected more i think perhaps my expectations were too high. Its very alcoholic so its definitely a 2-beer job on a school night and its over. Overall its ok, im a tad disappointed but i think my own expectations have probably caused this. I might have another later expecting less and i might be nicely surprised

Make sure you read the percentage before consumption. 7% which tends to let gou know after a couple. First drink out of a bottle so no judge yet on head or natural colour. Strong pallet of pine and warmth. Bit of a let down from the comments given about it. Definately doesnt taste like figs But after a 4 pack anyone would start feeling the meaning.
