Draft sample at the brewery, opaque deep dark brown color with tan head. Aroma of heavy dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste follows the aroma with heavy bakers chocolate notes and faint fruity hops. Medium-light body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy with roast finish. Very nice porter.

Growler fill at Brewery. Pours a deep dark brown color with a one inch thick frothy tan head that lasts. Aroma of deep roastiness, mild hops, chocolate and caramel sweetness. Flavor is heavy roasted malts with a nice sweetness, that is balanced nicely by hops. The finish is somewhat dry with the hops lingering on the finish. Medium creamy body with medium carbonation.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown, almost black. There was lots of dark plum, a light smokiness, chocolate, oak, and slight roasted notes. Very smooth and rather tasty.
