Growler fill at Brewery. Pours a deep dark brown color with a one inch thick frothy tan head that lasts. Aroma of deep roastiness, mild hops, chocolate and caramel sweetness. Flavor is heavy roasted malts with a nice sweetness, that is balanced nicely by hops. The finish is somewhat dry with the hops lingering on the finish. Medium creamy body with medium carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown, almost black. There was lots of dark plum, a light smokiness, chocolate, oak, and slight roasted notes. Very smooth and rather tasty.

The Bunker C is a delicious porter. I tasted it at the Brewpub in Berlin, MD. You smell the chocolate and coffee right away. The flavor is packed with the same chocolate and coffee as well as some nutty and toffee notes. It pours black with no head.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery in Berlin, MD. Pours a black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is really nice with lots of dark chocolates, roasts, earthy hops, and a bit of a milk chocolate sweetness. A few fruity esters, a light caramel, and a touch of burnt malt. Flavor is similar. Lots of roasts, dark chocolate, a light milk chocolate sweetness, more caramel, and a good amount of earth. Touches of fruity esters and a hint of vanilla. Finishes dry, roasty, and fairly bitter with a nice earthiness and a solid chocolate sweetness to balance along with a hint of licorice spice. Length aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice porter. Bold and robust, but really well balanced with a nice chocolate and caramel sweetness in an easy drinking body. Solid.

This poured a darker brown color with a tan head. Aroma was of licorice, burnt malt and something else weird I coudlnt pick out. Flavor was much the same roasted, light burnt chocolate, and an odd off flavor that really hurt this one

On tap @ the brewery-Dark pour w/no head. Aroma of coffee & chocolate. A real flavor powerhouse, coffee, chocolate, some toffee, roasted nuts. All the standard flavors one would expect in an imperial stout. Had some carbonation, solid sample of this style, best brew yet from this brewer!
