MadRobin (1880) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 19, 2013
On tap at Adega Wine Cellars & Cafe in Silver Spring, MD. Hazy, golden amber with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel and yeast. Taste of caramel, mild earthy herbal hops, light menthol and yeast. Medium/full body and high/medium carbonization with a smooth mouthfeel. OK, I am not a Kölsch fan, but this is good. It's simple and malty with a pleasant taste and a very nice mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a very "safe" choice in my opinion. Not a lot of crazy flavors or very heavy/strong. But a good beer overall.

Extremely crisp and enjoyable Kolsch. Nice malt/hop balance that leaves a refreshing feeling in the mouth and beckons for more. One of the better lagers I’ve had (which I typically don’t really care for that much). This one had character.

Serving: Draft at the brewery. Light floral and grain nose. The flavor has light touches of lemon, florals, and grain. Finishes very dry with a light touch of sweetness. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a light golden yellow color with thin white head that quickly fell to a ring. Mild sweet yeasty aroma. Taste had a light wheat flavor with a bit of sweet malts coming through in the middle and lingering through the end. Light floral hop presence to balance out. Light, crisp and refreshing with mild carbonation.
