Draft at Burley Oak. Pours clear medium brown with a thin creamy head. Tastes like dry dark chocolate, coffee, grains, earthy, Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like earthy grains, wood, musk, and very light coffee.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear copper with creamy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and caramel malts, toast, floral notes, and dates. Flavor is lightly toasted malts, some stone fruit esters, light pine hops, and faint woody notes; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Serving: Draft at the 45th Street Tap House. It pours a dark copper color with a nice light tan head. The nose has a good bit of caramel and malt. The flavor has a touch of graininess, light caramel notes, a touch of graininess wrapped in a smooth finish. Very enjoyable.

On Tap & Cask at the Brewery-On Cask-Clear amber pour w/no head. Woodsy, malt aroma w/some toffee & yeast. This cask was served a little warm, even by cask standards, but it was quite good. Cask treatment allowed malt to shine thru. On draft it was cloudier, and the carbination muted it a bit. Score is for the cask treatment.
