3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 I normally really enjoy a pale rye, but this one had too much sweetness. Don?t get me wrong, it was an okay beer, but I needed more bitterness and the rye flavors to come through.
Rerate- they must have changed things up in the recipe because this beer has solid rye spice notes and good hoppiness now.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: Draft at the brewery. Light copper pour. The nose has a light caramel note. The flavor is sweet up front with notes of spicy rye, a little resin, and a lasting bitterness. Perhaps a little weighty on the tongue but tasty.
