Pale gold in colour, with a crisp malt edge and sharp bitterness. Plateau has been hopped at different stages of the brew , with a big mix of US & NZ hops to satisfy the discerning drinker. Full in flavour, zesty, refreshing & low in alcohol, this beer will have you returning to the bar for another.

From cask at The Harp Charing Cross. Pours clear golden yellow with white head. Aroma is grainy, some hops and fruitiness. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, some citrus and hops , rather dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, soft carbonation. Ok.

meh. a typical ’pale ale’ offering. quite grassy, not much evidence of the ’big mix of US & NZ hops’ good zingy finish.

On draught at The Flowerpots beer festival, Cheriton, Winchester, Hampshire. Wonderful hoppy aroma, citrussy but not overpowering. Clear, pale yellow in colour with a loose head (poured direct from cask). Taste is slightly sweet to begin with hops coming through strongly for a fine bitter balance. Full-bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel; long bitter finish. Overall this is a very good beer indeed. Light in alcohol, the balance of hop is superb. So good that despite having plenty of choice at this excellent beer festival I had another.

On tap at the Firkin Ale House. Wonderfully fresh with lemons, some grass, hops and a crispy, aftertaste. You could have taken some bath in that. Great one.

On cask at the Firkin Ale House in Eastbourne. Pours out in a golden colour with low head and medium to flat body. Aroma of hops and straw with some flowers hints. Taste of fresh hops, spruce, herbs, mild thyme, straw and bread. Quaffable and refreshing finish. Nice one.

Cask @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. Clear pale golden color, small white head that leaves good lacing. Smell and taste lightly malts, nicely hoppy, nicely grassy, lightly bitter. Quite nice.

Cask at LCBF. Very pale yellow, still, clear, a few white bubbles. Aroma is musty, bubblegum. Body is medium, low carbonation. Taste is lightly metallic, watery. Soft, drinkable cask ale but there are some dodgy flavours that put me off.
