Gravity cask at the St Neots ’Booze on the Ouse’ Beer Festival 2016. Light to mid-gold, clear, with a small amount of loose white head. Sharp tropical fruit citrus smell mixes with a bit of musty hop, ammonia and sulphur. Taste is punchy and bitter with a sweet fruity note rounding it off before the final dry bitter aftertaste. Not overly keen but it’s OK.

Cask at The Earl Grey Inn. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, some lime, slight straw and slight grassy hops. Taste of grapefruit, lemon, slight red berries and grassy, floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A bittersweet, citrusy hop bitterness in the finish. A well balanced low abv golden ale. Nice citrusy hop bitterness which makes it refreshing and tasty. Nice.

Pale straw, loose but persistent head. Lots of grains in the aroma, hint of toffee and honey. Refreshing palate with pleasant carbonation. Citrussy and bitter finish, and the bitterness stays on the tongue. Toffee joins the finish later. Very good for 3.5%, a nice light bitter.

From cask pours a super pale yellow with a small off-white head. The smell is very light citrus, grain and grass. The taste is the same as the smell with some bitterness on the end. Very light in body with mild carbonation.
