COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally, the farmhouse brewers of Wallonia would produce a weak Saison beer for the workers and a stronger beer to be aged & sometimes blended – destined for the local taverns. This beer has a primary fermentation with a Saison yeast, then undergoes a secondary fermentation with a blend of Lactobacillus & Brettanomyces. The result is tart, crisp, slightly sour & incredibly refreshing.

A little sour and fresh aroma. The taste is similar. Nothing special really. Dry finish.

More of a tick than a in depth rating... On tap @ tilquin beer festival. I felt this was the best saison I had at the event. A hazy straw colour with a small head. Fruity barley nose, hints of earthy funk. Slightly acidic, flowery, funky yet very drinkable saison. Long and dry aftertaste. Refreshing and well made.

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with spicy notes, ripe apples, hints of pepper and soap. Moderate sweet with nice fruity and Belgian yeasty flavours, some acidity and a fairly dry and slightly spicy finish. Medium+ body with fairly average carbonation. Tasty and refreshing!

330 ml bottle - Citrus and orange peel notes, fizzy taste with an initial crisp dry palate but dissipates to a smooth citrus finish.

Keg in the Horseshoe NW3. Nice slightly burnished pale golden colour. Quite a funky saison, definitely Bretty on top of any saison yeast. Dry, pleasant level of sour, a little spicy hop. Moreish. Really enjoyed this.
