On tap at Carnivale Brettanomyces ’16. At In de Wildeman. Murky golden colour, white head. Aroma is spicy saison yeast, fennel seeds/caraway, fruit esters. Flavour is dry, floral, light spicy, more like a classic saison than the aroma. Good. Light bodied.

Zlotta (1800) - Amstelveen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 26, 2016
Sampled from tap at ’In de Wildeman’ during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Slightly funky, a little fruity-grassy aroma of lemon peel, some ginger and straw. Slightly bitter, a little funky and a bit fruity-grassy taste of lemon peel, grapefruit, ginger and straw, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter and a little tart finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent and a little spritzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Thanks to Travlr! Sampled draft @ In De Wildeman. I thought that I had this one before. Oily with mellow herbal & pine notes, lemon, plenty of bread here, grain. Touch bland but decent, could be more expressive. Still not entirely getting the hype that this brewery gets in the UK.

Keg at The Prince Albert, Brighton, E.Sussex. Hazy gold with white head. There are the fresh, tartish lemony flavours that you would expect for a decent saison, some Belgian yeasty notes, candy sugar. It’s fine.
