This wasn’t as hoppy as I had expected. More on the lines of an aged barleywine. So I have to ding it down for that. Still easy to drink though.

on tap at Burnside, Aroma of bitter oaj and caranek, gets more detailed as beer war, no head to speak of, but solid, clear amber body. a heartily balanced flavor with a two level malt (caramel & lighter malt)m with woodsy hops & a smoky nint from someweere, plus the alchol tang. balanced finish.

Draft @ Baileys Taproon - Pours a clear adark orange with a large white head and nice lacing. Aroma is cirus fruits and caramel malts - not a huge aroma though. Taste is malt centric with earth and citrus hops. Decent.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2011 Tap @ 15th Ave Hophouse... Poured amber/orange with a lacy, white head. Smooth and balanced, an easy drinking IIPA. Aroma had faint, earthy, vege-like hops. Very malt forward with a worty sweetness, mild peppery spiced hops came in to offer a touch of bitterness. A little piney, and woodlike with a light fruit eatery quality.

IBU 99.5. Clear deep amber color, small white head. Fruity, orange, pineapple in the hoppy nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity, woody hoppyness, some pineapple, then pine. Clean DIPA with good drinkability.
