Burnside IPA is our flagship brand on our sparkling new 15bbl system. An IPA with plenty of malt body and thoroughly hopped with 6 varieties of the herbaceous perennial. Expect to taste notes of pine & grapefruit in Jason’s first offering.

650ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a huge white head that left me taking 15 minutes to fill my glass. This head retained very well and left some really nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus with some light pine and caramel. Taste is a bold citrus and pine hop bitterness with an underlying caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leaving a light tingle on the palate. A very well done IPA that is definitely up there with my fave IPA’s. Additional note: When I poured another glass to finish the bottle, the head overflowed the glass and I grabbed a cloth to wipe down the outside of glass and my glass exploded in my hands and caused several small cuts on my right hand. I thought some of you may find this amusing.

Rating #1598 - 27.03.2015 - On tap @underground_yeg - @yegbeergirl’s Tap Takeover. Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with Citra, simcoe overtones, grapefruit, citrusy, toasted malt. Taste is more of the same, dry piney hops and roast malts dominating the flavour, with a hint of sweetness. Finish is dry, but balanced and satisfying. Delicious.

65cl Bottle from drankgigant.nl. A year old. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of sweet sticky fruity hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, some caramel, malts. Flavour follows, nice soft citrusy hoppy flavour, decent bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Might be a bit old, still very tasty.

Just the numeral ratings due to heavy drinking and social interaction. I also didn’t bring a ledger with me.

Tap at the brewpub. Mostly clear golden pour. Spotty white head. Tropical fruit, citrus. This is really yummy.

650ml bottle. Moderately cloudy, deep golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, firm, fluffy, frothy, long lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma with a cautious touch of peanut, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of honeydew melon, watermelon, rhubarb, a touch of wax. Taste is bitter hoppy, minimally grassy and herbal, slightly fruity, hints rhubarb and melon again, a fruit acidic tart touch, caramel malty basis is minimally strawy, a spicy touch of hay as well. Doesn’t knock my socks off.

Aroma is sweet lightly roasted malts with a clove and earthy undertone.Taste is light sweet malts with a fairly potent clove, citrus and grapefruit tone that seem slightly watered down on finish. Appearance is a slightly hazy gold with a thick fluffy head that retains quite well.

Bomber drank while on holiday, brought from home. Unclear orange color, medium to full sized quite dense off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, hops, nicely fruity, grapefruit, slightly peach, pine. Taste malts, hops, grapefruit, fruit hops, moderate to full bitterness. Medium body, medium to full carbonation. Solid IPA, good fruit hops, good bitterness, only a little bit too highly carbonated. Nice beer for sure.

Nice yellow pour. Great hop aroma. 22 oz. bomber purchased in hood river . Very fresh taste. Perfect (to this palate) light malt that does not overpower the the delicious bold hop flavor. Very well done and recommended ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
