3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a huge white head that left me taking 15 minutes to fill my glass. This head retained very well and left some really nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus with some light pine and caramel. Taste is a bold citrus and pine hop bitterness with an underlying caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leaving a light tingle on the palate. A very well done IPA that is definitely up there with my fave IPA’s.
When I poured another glass to finish the bottle, the head overflowed the glass and I grabbed a cloth to wipe down the outside of glass and my glass exploded in my hands and caused several small cuts on my right hand. I thought some of you may find this amusing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. From memory; not very memorable. Typical IPA pour. Aroma was light, basic. Flavor was fairly bitter, but without anything very interesting other than bitterness. Not worth trying again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very hoppy light bodied bitter and malty sweet with bitter aftertaste. Its an orangy hazy brew with a white head. Its almost crisp with a good combo of malt and hops. A good summer beer not a bad brew

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very bitter, low carb. Decent start, but improved greatly with temperature increase and with food (salsa and chips). Would drink again for sure. It is it’s own IPA, not a ’me too’. More British style than American. Overall good effort, Portland reps.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber courtesy of Cameron. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Foamy, glass lacing white head. Burnt caramel, oily hempy dankness. Comes off quite resinous and oily, pretty big and full bodied. I sort of associate this taste with something being burnt in the boiler, maybe the mash. A solid offering overall though, with copious amounts of hop character, and a big chewy malt body. Needs to be dialed in a little too achieve RB accolades. Classic West Coast IPA, pleasantly different than what I’m used to out here in Wisconsin.
