COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Lime Kolsch is brewed as a German style Kolsch made with premium pilsner malt and a touch of wheat and Munich malts. We then add Tettnanger hops, and ferment with the German ale yeast at 59 degrees to create a crisp, dry, and thirst quenching beer. Then the Burnside twist; we hand zested 200 limes, steeped a pound of Kaffir Lime leaf in the kettle, and added lemongrass to the bright tank. The result, a highly drinkable summer ale with hints of exotic ingredients from the east. Drink it with a lime!

Draft at the source. Very pale hazy yellow. The lime makes an appearances in the aroma, but really cones home to roost in the flavor. Holy cow.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Kaffir lime leaf aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is lime, not extreme, with zest and kaffir leaf distingquishable. Pale malt. Ends sort of citrus bitter - leaf and zest build up stronger. Interesting.

Bottle:   Vibrant straw, clear, light sudsy white head, little lacing.   Strong floral aroma, a little medicinal, and I hate to say it, some urinal cake.   Definite Lime tho!   Seems artificial in it aroma, however. Thankfully on the tongue its more Lime Leaf than the aromatic/floral lime.   Soft body, smooth, and very lime like on the finish.   The aroma is a bit deceiving in that its real artificial, but on the tongue its a bit more neutral and real.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft lime like finish.   Tiz okay, but the nose detracts too much.

Lime and lemon grass, mild grain, perhaps a little cloroxy. Golden pour, mild haze, white head. Flavors of lime and lemon, mild bread and grain, more leafy lime and herbal lemongrass. LIngering citrus finish, natural but at the same time I can see how it can become a little solventy in large portions. Like craft Tequiza.

Golden in color, light head. Nice kolsch and light fruit flavors and aroma. Decent beer.

Strange beer. Like a better bud light lime. Light and easy summer beer. Had this in draft as part of a flight at Burnside Brewing in Portland.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour is clear Yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Big Limey, salty, herbs, medicinal, biscuit, an dough in the aroma. Taste is fresh like drank - somewhat salty, citrusy, biscuity, and honey. Light body with high carbonation. Bud light lime clone.

Poured a light yellow color. Had more ginger taste to it than lime. The kolsch base was good and it was really quite drinkable. Just wish there was more lime to it.

Draught at the brewpub. Has lemon grass, limes, and lime zest. Lime juice is the main aroma. Clear pale straw color, little thin geysers of carb rising. Lime juice initial; mid palate has some bready, cracker notes; mild lime finish, with some rather unpleasant chemical notes. Thin body. A bit interesting, but overall the flavors do not blend well.

Aromas of creamy lemon, lime zest and honey malts nice enough MMmm very refreshing first beer of the week and its zesty, salty, honey and crisp, dry pilsner finish nice stuff!! Good palate it is not too thin yet goes down a treat. Very nice refreshing summer beer. I was unsure so held off all summer but this is nice.
