COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Lime Kolsch is brewed as a German style Kolsch made with premium pilsner malt and a touch of wheat and Munich malts. We then add Tettnanger hops, and ferment with the German ale yeast at 59 degrees to create a crisp, dry, and thirst quenching beer. Then the Burnside twist; we hand zested 200 limes, steeped a pound of Kaffir Lime leaf in the kettle, and added lemongrass to the bright tank. The result, a highly drinkable summer ale with hints of exotic ingredients from the east. Drink it with a lime!

Light body and noticeable hops flavor but without the bitterness. Lingering lime flavor makes it a good sipping beer. My favorite light refreshing summer beer so far.

22oz. Very hazy amber; Decent off-white head Wonderful smell mixes lime with fresh baked bread. The flavor is much less balanced, with the lime components dominating. Good sweet/bitter/sour balance, with all three present at near equal levels. Refreshing. Light body with appropriate medium carbonation.

At Burnside Brewing with Taylor, Stephen, Taylor, and Dina. Pours mustard yellow pretty clear no head. Aroma is like, clean, thin light malt. Taste is lime, clean light, some off moldy notes.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour is clear Yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Big Limey, salty, herbs, medicinal, biscuit, an dough in the aroma. Taste is fresh like drank - somewhat salty, citrusy, biscuity, and honey. Light body with high carbonation. Bud light lime clone.

Bottle from unknown. Pours a slightly hazy golden color, decent amount of off white fluffy head. Aroma biscuity, some lime and keffir, but not much. Body full and and arch, but finish is a bit slippery, very complex lime making itself slowly known gradually, really nice. Not sure why the ratings are so low.

Strange beer. Like a better bud light lime. Light and easy summer beer. Had this in draft as part of a flight at Burnside Brewing in Portland.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Kaffir lime leaf aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is lime, not extreme, with zest and kaffir leaf distingquishable. Pale malt. Ends sort of citrus bitter - leaf and zest build up stronger. Interesting.

Bomber. Unclear pale yellow, creamy pillow of white head settles and lasts. Aroma of lime, lemongrass and muted Pilsen malt. Taste is lemongrassy, lime forward, backseat lager malts, some spice and floral notes. Lively carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Nice enough hot day beer. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Draft at the source. Very pale hazy yellow. The lime makes an appearances in the aroma, but really cones home to roost in the flavor. Holy cow.

Draft at Burnside Brewing in Portland, OR on 29 May 2013. Poured a lightly hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Floral hop aroma with lime zest and lemon grass. Lime flavours at the forward with citrus hop and bready malt notes. Palate is quite watery with a chemically edge and soda water element.

On tap at the brewpub. Served with a lime alongside. It’s a slightly hazy amber shade with a short white cap. Aroma is unexpectedly complex and fascinating, with a spicy saffron and citrussy character. Taste doesn’t quite live up to that benchmark but it’s a strong effort, with lime meshing well. Far more interesting than I expected.
