Burnside Oatmeal Pale Ale is brewed using copious amounts of Crystal, Galena, & Fuggle hop varietals. This is a clean dry Pale Ale with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. We have chosen to add 75 pounds of locally rolled oats to increase body and give our Pale a sweet creamy finish.

Bomber. Mostly clear copper orange, substantial off-white creamy froth settles very slowly and lasts. Muted aroma of herbal floral hop and C-malt. Mild spicy floral herbal hop taste, hardly sweet caramel malt, citrus hint. Average carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Smooth, dry and lightly bitter, more floral finish. Creamy and smooth. Oat meat mellows out the hop presence. Sweetness that comes from the oatmeal. Not really malty, but sweetness is prevalent. Sessionable brew.

Draft at the source. The oatmeal adds somethibg interesting in the aroma, as well as oat taste and extra body. Interesting idea.

650 ml bottle. Pours gold with medium head. Fruity marmalade aromas with some piney tones. Flavors of fruitbread - doughy with citrus and peels. Malty. Full and indeed creamy but not really in a good Pale Ale sense - seems to be at cross purposes. Otherwise pleasant.

Almost smells tart and creamy. The color is a cloudy blonde color expected for an unfiltered ale. Very dry with a sharp bitter taste almost tart. The sweetness comes in barely at the end. Its a medium bodied brew with white head. Overall not what i was thinking or hoping for.
