COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Oatmeal Pale Ale is brewed using copious amounts of Crystal, Galena, & Fuggle hop varietals. This is a clean dry Pale Ale with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. We have chosen to add 75 pounds of locally rolled oats to increase body and give our Pale a sweet creamy finish.

Two fingers of frothy head on a copper/orange colored body. A mellow aroma of grain, hay and lemons. The taste has medium bitterness of lemon with a not a hint of sweetness. A softer texture, moderate carbonation and medium body. Pretty good and good job with using the oatmeal.

A good easy sipper. Pours a bright golden orange with a thick off white head. The nose is hoppy with light citrus and floral aromas. A bit sweet and toasty in the middle with citrus fruits and cereal malt notes. A bitter finish with moderate astringency and floral esters. Nice and smooth.

Hazy copper-amber color with compact head. Fruity and delicate aroma. Lean mouthfeel, smooth; nice malt flavor, the oatmeal adds a very nice spicy touch, and the hopping provides a good share of citrusy aromatic quality; correct bitterness. Balanced.
Excellent.

Fucken speciality grain "non style" ... Keg at Burnside, 08/11/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate odd white head. Nose is pale malts, tangy citrics, orange, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, hint of grapefruit, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable but not very dynamic.

On tap at Burnside, pours a hazy copper golden with a small off-white head. Aroma is nearly non-existent, maybe a bit of biscuity malt. Flavour brings out light oats, soft biscuity malt, and dry hops. Nice use of the oatmeal. Nice balance. Good beer.

"Sweet and very smooth, the oats lending itself well to the feel but otherwise coming up a little short. Ends up being a slightly confused kinda-hoppy beer."

At Burnside Brewing with Taylor, Stephen, Taylor, and Dina. Pours bronze orange with almost no head. Aroma is light earthy hops, malt. Taste is hay, grainy raw barley balanced with earthy hops and hint of spicy hops. The malty hay backbone is the champion of the profile, and the hops play a party, but it doesn’t quite come together for me.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour is clear orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Lemon rind, orange peel, biscuit, dough, and grapefruit in the aroma. Taste is grapefruits, fruit rind, biscuit, bread, grass, and lemons with a medium bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. Decent pale ale but could benefit from added body.
