COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Oatmeal Pale Ale is brewed using copious amounts of Crystal, Galena, & Fuggle hop varietals. This is a clean dry Pale Ale with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. We have chosen to add 75 pounds of locally rolled oats to increase body and give our Pale a sweet creamy finish.

22oz bottle: Appearance is medium brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy. Flavor is dominated by hops with a fair malt presence. Not picking up much from the oats, but a decent beer still.

Bottle... Poured dark amber/orange with white head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of earthy hops. Easy drinking, mild palate. Citrus and black pepper spice hop flavors. Some grains, cereal, and a hint of sweetness.

Bottle with Carla. Pours a clear gold with minimal white foam. Smells a nice balance of hoppy and malty. Tastes nicely hoppy, borders on an IPA.

Tap at Baileys Taproom. Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. Taste is smooth and crisp malt with touches of oatmeal silkiness and a bid citrus hop bite. Lots of big juicy citrus hops in the aroma. Decent brew.

Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Faint grapefuit but otherwise fairly neutral aroma. Light straw color and slightly hazy. A malty version without much hop support. Delicate and oily mouthfeel. Not much going on here.

just as good if not a little better than their ipa. hoppiness is rather tame, nothing remarkable here.

Draught. Cloudy orange with thin white head. Aroma is oatmeal and citrus, an odd combination. Medium to full body, oatmeal and herb. Light finish.
