On tap at the brewpub. Pour is deep brown with a small brown head and good lacing. Roasty, cocoa, bread, marshmallows, and earthy aroma. Taste is toasted bread, sweet vanilla, grass, earthy, and doughy with a toasted bitterness on the backend. Light body with medium carbonation. Needs more body.

Black and creamy. Reminds me of natty the white sheep milk stout. Good choclate notes. Enjoyable. Had this in draft as part of a flight at Burnside Brewing in Portland.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice Stout! On tap at the brewery. Pours a pure black color with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet cocoa, some milk and metallic roast. The flavor leans toward sweet lactose/milky coffee and toasted malts. Good. Nice palate.

Sweet toasty malt flavours with some coffee bitterness and chocolate. Mouth feel was medium. Maple syrup, espresso and prunes with more lagery malt sweetness on the palate.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An ok stout. Pours a thin black with little head. Smells nice and creamy, milky. Taste however is light, more like a black lager then a stout. Stouts should be thicker. Had on tap at the brewery.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub. Light coffee candy aroma with some cinnamon. Very dark brown, thin tan head. Initial flavor is a very mild sweet light coffee, as expected from the aroma; mid palate is so mild; final fades out quickly. Medium body. Okay. A serviceable, mild stout.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark with a fine tan head. Doesn’t smell like much. Taste is malty with coffee flavors. This one is bourbon barrel aged. Not too bad.
