COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Sweet Heat is a wheat ale with an addition of 200 pounds of Apricot puree, then dry hopped with imported Jamaican Scotch Bonnet peppers. Reminiscent of a Caribbean chutney, Sweet Heat has a subtle tartness from the fruit with a slight spiciness from the peppers which also adds a fruitiness to the aroma.

Apricot/habanero ale. Cloudy yellow. Aroma hints at both but no big statement made. Taste is vegetal, with a touch of heat, but just a touch.

Bomber from Central City Liquor Store in Surrey. A pale, cloudy yellow amber beer with moderate white head. Slightly vegetal nose. In the mouth there’s apricot, quickly followed by a pepper slam at the back of the throat. A nice idea, but with failed execution. Too heavy on the pepper oil infusion, compared to the lightness of the apricot. The balance is way off. I may have to mix this with something else, just to get through it..or pour it down the sink. Blech! 1.6.

From a bomber into a pint glass. Thanks aunt and uncle from Portland! Pours a murky orangish with a few inches of head. Good apricot and wheat aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated and kinda mushy. Taste is apricots and floral notes. Smooth. Then there is the mild heat and hot pepper flavor. Perfect balance. Not too hot and mainly adds flavor. Not a novelty just a good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At Burnside Brewing with Taylor, Stephen, Taylor, and Dina. Pours cloudy neon mustard. Aroma is wheat, light phenolic notes, musky. Taste is big heavy wheat that is grainy that turns into a spicy peppery sear that blends with the light alcohol note.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour is hazy honeycomb with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Fruity, earthy, peppery, biscuity, and doughy aroma. Taste is sweet peaches, earthy roasted peppers, herbs, bread, and lemons with medium pepper heat on the backend. Light body with medium carbonation. Nothing special but a damn interesting beer.

Had this in draft as part of a flight at Burnside Brewing in Portland. Yellow and cloudy. Spicy but not offensive. Light and peppery. Good.

Tangy and spicy. Very unique taste. Strong after taste. Cloudy looking beer. Almost a bit too tangy to the point of almost sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Loved the hint of chili found in the beer. Not strong apricot. Really enjoyed this beer. Light and refreshing with some interesting parts

Damn it Shirah. Hazy yellow color. Vegetal pepper aroma, sweetness follows with some mango fruity character. Fruity apricot up front and then lots of pepper flavor and big residual heat in the back.

Smells like tropical fruit on first opening. Then turns into a raw jalapeño scent. Not too harsh to drink. Heat in the back of throat but dissipates quickly.
