Tap at Burnside Brewing, Portland. Colour is very cloudy golden with small thick creamy white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, wheat, spices, pepper and malts. Too spicy and hot for me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, shared with Dave. Very hazy pale yellow, lasting white head. Aroma is an odd blend of fresh cut vegetation and apricots, a bit sweaty. Flavour of celery, apricots, grass with pale unobtrusive malts. Lasting prickly heat deep in the throat. I didnít mind this, even though itís clearly a structural mess.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Appearance is cloudy yellow which minimal head. Aroma is citrus, powder taco mix, and apricots. Taste is light citrus, followed by a kick of spice, some apricots, and then finishes crisp and spicy finis. The aftertaste is little bit like the lingering effect from chomping into a ranch Doritos taco. This is a bit of a weird beer, I donít get much in the way apricots from the taste, it certainly has a fair bit of spice and an odd aftertaste, but itís also kind of refeshing...crazy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery - Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma has stone fruit, clean wheat, citrus and a touch of heat. It has a medium / light crisp body with a modest amount of carbonation. The flavor starts off with stone fruit, orange, American wheat and biting heat. The finish has the peppers hitting hard with seedy pepper heat, fleshy peppers and makes the stomach burn a bit. Hits the mark of what itís supposed to do.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Big white foam on cloudy dark yellow. Aroma of apricots, urine and pepper. Watery wheat with light fruit and a great but wasted pepper spice note. I am more upset by the wasted pepper than the lousy beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bomber pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head that settles to leave only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is apricots and peppers with some grains. Taste is a fruity and grainy malt sweetness with a moderate burn from the peppers and a light hoppy bitterness. Light bodied and well carbonated. Nicely balanced between the heat and the sweet. Recommended.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I love the interplay of the tart fruitiness with the spicy burn. The latter isnít overwhelming. Itís just right.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sweet and spicy combine to make a very fine tasting beer. The sweetness is not overpowering, nor is the spice. The spice hits your tongue first, and the sweetness after you swallow. Itís great.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Burnside, pours a hazy pale blonde with a tiny head. Aroma brings out modest apricots and light peppers. Flavour begins with light apricots, followed by pure spices. Not overly pleasing. More like a fun experiment. Itís okay.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"Wonderful combo of fruit and heat. Ample, but not overly sweet apricot and scotch bonnet peppers (a favorite of mine) play really well together. The heat is enough to notice but not enough to overpower the tart fruit, and the pepper flavor stays with toy afterwards. For this on tap, and have a bottle for next week..."
