Tap. Hazy honey color with minimal head. Smells like peppers and honey and something else freshly sweet. Tastes peppery and spicy and wheaty. Nice heat.

I love the interplay of the tart fruitiness with the spicy burn. The latter isnít overwhelming. Itís just right.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sweet and spicy combine to make a very fine tasting beer. The sweetness is not overpowering, nor is the spice. The spice hits your tongue first, and the sweetness after you swallow. Itís great.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Burnside, pours a hazy pale blonde with a tiny head. Aroma brings out modest apricots and light peppers. Flavour begins with light apricots, followed by pure spices. Not overly pleasing. More like a fun experiment. Itís okay.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"Wonderful combo of fruit and heat. Ample, but not overly sweet apricot and scotch bonnet peppers (a favorite of mine) play really well together. The heat is enough to notice but not enough to overpower the tart fruit, and the pepper flavor stays with toy afterwards. For this on tap, and have a bottle for next week..."

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a thin head on a cloudy light straw colored body.
The aroma is odd. Frying oil and vinegar. Not enjoyable.
The taste has a mild grain sweetness throughout with a hot pepper spice kick in the middle to end. Long hot finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The level of heat is perfect.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Apricot/habanero ale. Cloudy yellow. Aroma hints at both but no big statement made. Taste is vegetal, with a touch of heat, but just a touch.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bomber from Central City Liquor Store in Surrey. A pale, cloudy yellow amber beer with moderate white head. Slightly vegetal nose. In the mouth thereís apricot, quickly followed by a pepper slam at the back of the throat. A nice idea, but with failed execution. Too heavy on the pepper oil infusion, compared to the lightness of the apricot. The balance is way off. I may have to mix this with something else, just to get through it..or pour it down the sink. Blech! 1.6.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bomber into a pint glass. Thanks aunt and uncle from Portland! Pours a murky orangish with a few inches of head. Good apricot and wheat aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated and kinda mushy. Taste is apricots and floral notes. Smooth. Then there is the mild heat and hot pepper flavor. Perfect balance. Not too hot and mainly adds flavor. Not a novelty just a good brew.

At Burnside Brewing with Taylor, Stephen, Taylor, and Dina. Pours cloudy neon mustard. Aroma is wheat, light phenolic notes, musky. Taste is big heavy wheat that is grainy that turns into a spicy peppery sear that blends with the light alcohol note.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pour is hazy honeycomb with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Fruity, earthy, peppery, biscuity, and doughy aroma. Taste is sweet peaches, earthy roasted peppers, herbs, bread, and lemons with medium pepper heat on the backend. Light body with medium carbonation. Nothing special but a damn interesting beer.
